Anti-aging treatments aren’t just a collection of procedures and therapies to make you look young — they’re a way to convince your body you’re younger than the number of years on the clock.

With the right treatments, you’re not only able to show off glowing skin, but you can improve your memory, boost your energy levels, and help repair damaged tissues.

At Viva Health Group, with offices in Clark and Clifton, New Jersey, board-certified OB/GYN and men’s health physician Dr. Aleksander Bodnar understands that the ability to enjoy each day to the fullest, including feeling good about how you look and act, is incredibly important.

That’s why he offers his patients an array of noninvasive anti-aging treatments. Here’s what he wants you to know.

How to stay one step ahead of aging

When you come into the office, Dr. Bodnar takes a medical history, performs a physical exam, and discusses your goals for treatment before he draws up a comprehensive plan tailored to your needs. His recommendations may include one or more of the following therapies.

Exosome therapy

Exosomes are small, naturally occurring vesicles. They’re believed to allow for intercellular communication and macromolecule transmission (proteins, growth factors, and anti-inflammatory molecules) between cells.

They’ve also been proposed as drug vectors since they’re composed of cell membranes rather than synthetic polymers, which makes them better tolerated by the host. They can help reduce the signs of aging and prevent age-related diseases.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy

Bioidentical hormones are plant-based or synthetic hormones identical to the hormones in your body.

If you’re experiencing a hormone imbalance from menopause (women) or low testosterone (men), BHRT can help relieve uncomfortable symptoms, including memory loss, fatigue, and weight gain.

Senolytic therapies

Cellular senescence impairs older people’s health by littering tissues and organs with senescent (dead or dying) cells.

Senolysis, the process that removes these cells, has been shown to extend the lifespan and prevent or lessen features of aging and age-related diseases, including osteoarthritis, atherosclerosis, and neurodegeneration.

NAD+ restoration

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+ for short, is a coenzyme found naturally in the body’s cells that addresses the “big picture” of health: keeping cells running like well-oiled machines. Benefits include:

  • Helps cells break down carbs, fats, and proteins into usable energy
  • Assists with DNA and cellular repairs
  • Useful in IV therapy to boost energy levels and mental clarity and decrease pain

NAD+ also activates enzymes that control genes responsible for aging and some age-related disorders.

Peptide therapy

We use amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, to boost immune function, overall immunity, and tissue repair.

Lifestyle changes

We may suggest lifestyle changes, including eating a healthier diet with more fresh fruits and vegetables, restricting calories if you’re overweight or obese, and getting regular exercise. All help prevent the signs of aging.

IV therapy

IV therapy delivers vitamins, minerals, and medications directly into your bloodstream. This bypasses the digestive system, which breaks them down, allowing you to absorb the full amount instantly.

Platelet-rich plasma therapy

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy isolates the platelets from your blood; the platelets contain large amounts of growth factors. We inject the sample into an injured joint or wound to speed up the healing process. It can also promote faster surgical recovery.

Acoustic shockwave therapy

Acoustic shockwave therapy delivers high-level energy to help your skin increase its cellular activity. As circulation improves, it enhances your body’s production of collagen and elastin, structural proteins important for giving skin its strength and ability to stretch.

If you’re frustrated with the visible signs of aging, it’s time to take action. Call Viva Health Group at either of our locations to schedule a consultation, or book online with us today.
